Singapore Proposes UN Framework Convention on Global AI Safety

Singapore has proposed exploring a United Nations Framework Convention on AI Safeguards, calling for stronger international cooperation as artificial intelligence systems become increasingly powerful and widely deployed. The proposal was presented by Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
