IMO Prepared to Evacuate Hundreds of Ships Stuck in the Persian Gulf Amid De-escalation Hopes

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has officially finalized an emergency evacuation plan for hundreds of commercial vessels currently trapped in the Persian Gulf. Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez stated today that while the plan is ready, it will only be activated once clear signs of de-escalation are confirmed between U.S. and Iranian forces. The "Hormuz Deadlock" has paralyzed global trade for weeks, and this move represents the first concrete step toward restoring maritime flow in the world's most vital energy corridor.

This development comes as global oil markets experience extreme volatility, with prices fluctuating based on every diplomatic signal from the peace talks in Islamabad. Security firms have also issued urgent warnings today regarding "scam messages" targeting ship captains, offering fake "safe passage" through the Strait of Hormuz for exorbitant fees. The IMO’s intervention is seen as a desperate but necessary attempt to prevent a total collapse of the global supply chain as the ceasefire deadline looms.
